 1. As a parent, what is the most important aspect of the tutoring experience you look for when "shopping" for tutors?

 

As a parent one of the most important things we look for in addition to knowledge of the subject matter is the ability to define what is needed and develop a plan and relate to the student.

 

2. Did you find that when working with Deborah?

 

Absolutely. Deborah developed a schedule, connected with them and gave them confidence that they could master the subject.

3. Name three character traits your scholar used to describe Deborah's tutoring.

4. Would you recommend her to other parents?

Yes, I would and have done so. My sons said she made the math lesson so much clearer and explained things in a way they could understand.

  • The most important aspect to me in a tutor is someone who is patient, and very knowledgeable in what they do.

  • I look for tutor that will try their best to help me to grasp what I couldn’t understand from class. As well as someone that will ask me to try problems without having to ask them for help every single step.

 

2. Did you find that when working with Deborah?

​

  • Yes!

  • Yes, I did she had me try some different problems to the best of my ability without having to get help for every step, and helping when I’ve clearly made a mistake or was stuck.

 

3. Name three character traits you use to describe Deborah's tutoring. 

​

  • Three traits I would use to describe Deborah’s tutoring is approachable and very warm, challenging but understandable, and organized with her teaching.

  • Caring, Kind, Accessible

 

4. Would you recommend her to other students? 

​

  • Absolutely!

  • Yes, I definitely would recommend her to other students.
