LOL is a small tutoring company, geared toward individual and small group learning sessions. We work based solely on appointment. You may request one or more tutoring sessions, giving at least 24 hours notice. However, if you require future sessions, scheduling well in advance is paramount as available time is limited!

How does LOL work?
Mrs. Radford's expertise is in the area of mathematics. However, she has created other resources for students who need assistance in reading comprehension and building vocabulary through her book, The Normal School.
For a limited time, we also have a reading comprehension specialist that is able to assist students at the elementary levels.

What can I get help with?
What's the minimum time to work with a tutor?
The minimum time spent with the tutor is one hour. The maximum time spent is 3 hours with a mandatory 15 minute break.

What will the first consultation consist of?
We first speak with the parent (if under 18) about timelines and basic reasons for tutoring. Then we speak to the student and determine other deterring factors like: test anxiety, fear of math, traumatic experiences with teachers. We may also administer a pre-test, depending on the duration of tutoring sessions. All of these will guide our approach to tutoring.

Is hiring a private tutor expensive?
Our fee varies, depending on the severity of the need and duration of lessons. Please contact us for specific pricing.
